What happens if there is an accident during a rental?

What happens if there is an accident?

Appropriate First Responders should be called first, as needed (911). The Guest should exchange insurance information with involved parties. The Certificate of Insurance is part of the Reservation Record. If you haven't already printed it, you can find it by logging into RVnGO under My Trips.

The Guest should document any damages, including taking pictures with their phones as appropriate, and cooperate with police to make a statement for the accident report.

If the RV is not usable or considered unsafe to drive, the guest will need to contact the host and start the check out process immediately, as well as call (844) 777-8323 to begin an insurance claim. If the RV is still usable and is safe for operation, the Guest should check in with the owner and if agreed upon may continue their trip as scheduled.  During the check out process, similar to the check in process, you can upload photos and make notes. The Host should note the damage and take any pictures to show the damage. At the bottom of the check-out form, there is information on making an insurance claim.

You can access more information about Making a Damage Claim here.
